The old Seaboard Coastline Railroad dining car stands in the center of town as the Norlina Museum (originally known as Norlina Railroad Museum). Spanning approximately 70 feet long, the museum takes you on a tour from its historical past of serving hungry soldiers being transported to the coast during World War II, to the years in transition serving as a library, and to the present as a museum. Railroading artifacts and historical displays of the town and surrounding area from pre-colonial times to the present are arranged inside a 1928 railroad car. Featured local memorabilia, including original pictures from our railroadin' past will surely please avid enthusiasts.
The Norlina Museum is located in the Norlina Junction Park on Hyco Street in downtown Norlina.
