A local county tourism office/visitors center which offers information on Henderson, Vance County and Kerr Lake to tourists, visitors and prospective visitors. The office works to bring visitors to the area via radio, newspaper, magazine ads and direct mail in addition to promoting the area at trade shows and special events. The department also sponsors/hosts the Independence Day Weekend Celebration on Kerr Lake in July, and the Show, Shine, Shag & Dine car show along with the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame Drag Racer Reunion each October.
