This annual festival features North Carolina's best pork barbecue. Festival visitors are also treated to exciting local, regional, and national entertainers on six different stages located throughout an eighteen square block area. The festival features more than 300 artisans and craftsmen, special attractions, rides & games, and many other pork themed activities to celebrate Lexington's famous heritage!
The 25th Anniversary Barbecue Festival is set for Satruday, October 25, 2008. The annual celebration culminates a month-long series of events celebrating the local cuisine: Barbecue Festival Tennis Tournament, Oct. 4-5; Tour de Pig Bike Ride, Oct. 11; Barbecue Festival Golf Tournament, Oct. 18-19; Hawg Shoot Air Rifle Tournament, and the Hawg Run 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, Oct. 18.
