Taylorsville Hometown Apple Festival A barrel full of folks fill the streets on the third Saturday of every October for the Hometown Apple Festival. Two stages, carriage rides, a Kid's Korner, food, arts and crafts, an apple peeling contest, an apple dessert contest, and lots and lots more apples are highlights of the fesival! A 5-K roadrace starts the festivities at 8 a.m. More than 150 vendors use more than six large blocks of town, the courthouse square, the town ball field and several large parking lots for this famly event.
