This popular festival centers on one of Eastern North Carolina’s favorite foods - BBQ! The aroma of spicy pork draws visitors to the big BBQ contest where the competition is as hot as the tender, juicy meat. Sample it for yourself, along with home-made ice cream, funnel cakes and other favorites. Live music, a street dance, children's rides, lots of vendors, the Art Tent, an amateur Dog Show, a Car Show, and the Annual Neuse River Ducky Race round out the family-oriented events.
